New MOTU interface ; Microbook

The 1/4" Mic input is balanced , no problem there.

From MOTU 's site;
" Pre-amp equipped mic input with Precision Digital Trim™, 48V phantom power, and 20 dB pad "

There is no XLR input , the front 1/4" input is balanced.
You'll need an 1/4" to XLR female adaptor.

The CuemixFX alone is worth the price.
The EQ is amazing , 6 band full parametric + LPF/HPF.
The comp is also very nice , "a la" LA2A.

Wow! For $250? That is an incredible feature set. You couldn't get anywhere close to this for the $$ just 5 years ago. Pick up a MOTU Traveler, buy DP (lol i think DP 4 was the last one I used) and you've spend nearly $1000.

For school or hobby, I can't see why you'd need much more. I used to get a LOT done with an old Tascam USB112.
