I broke the neck on my main stage bass and it really started me thinking bout what I like and don't like about this neck.
Ibanez sr 400's are known for the thinnest and quickest neck's, and I definetly like the feel of mine. What I hate is the pointy headstock. I play in a surf band and looks are sometimes important.
So what I want to know is, has anyone fitted a different brand neck onto an ibanez. It's at the luthier getting fixed right now and I can't measure the neck pocket dimensions, and a search turned up nothing.
Any suggestions would be nice, as the cost of repairing this neck could go towards a nice replacement.
