Sounds nice, bit harsh sounding maybe. Does it come with a blend?

  2. The 50% does sound nice...The fully effected signal isn't too bad either, but I still have gui****'s ears too.

  5. thanks! yeah it comes with a blend i've been trying to work on a knob to control the amount of gain but since its generally based around a tonebender mkII its been pretty hard to tame it.

  6. moar opinions please ;o in the clip i used an active bass through a peavey valve king head into a 4x12

  7. I really like it as a distortion pedal the 50% blend is great. SO when do you think you might shipping a few to the states?:p

A really cool way to be able to back off the gain is to add 1 more pot in between your input and before in the in-cap. You're just using it as a variable resistor so just use lugs 3 and 2 and clip off the first lug. just pop this right in between the input and the first cap (as stated above) and you have a really effective "pregain" to smooth things out. This is lifted from the Fulltone fuzzfaces, will work fine with a TB though. Easy, 1 part, works great.

Make sure your pot is either a 50K or 100K Linear (B).

A 470pf to .002uf (anything in between) taken from AFTER your out-cap to ground will smooth out the highs if they are getting harsh. A subtle mod, but really warms things up on the high end.

Also, if using silicone trannies, 2n2369 are a great low-gain silicone that will get you in the realm of Ge but still be robust and will help make the fuzz more controllable.

    Good luck,

    matt

I like the sound of the 50% blend mode. To me is sounds like a great mix of overdrive with fuzz, spread all over the the tonal range. While still respecting the original signal of the bass (natural overdrive or distortion).

Someone said it was harsh sounding. But that's what I like about it. That's a sound that could be usefull to me personally.

What I didn't like: the full drive mode.
The effected signal doesn't seem to catch up. You couldn't play anything fast with it I assume. :meh:

But overall, a good pedal. Could be usefull.
