Below is my new parts bass, started out as a Squier. Upgraded everything with the exception of the body through parts layin around and smart shopping.

Neck: Bought off of the classifieds
Pickup: Seymour Duncan basslines, from gc on clearance
Bridge: Schaller, acquired from friend who bought them for a project bass and decided he wanted gold hardware.
tuning keys: same as above
Knobs: old school stereo knobs from radio shack!!!
Pickguard: ebay

Always wanted a P-bass, but since Fender has been hiking their prices decided to build exactly what I want. I am toying with the notion of putting a drop d tuner on it as well.

The body was a squier II. originally it did'nt even have a pickguard. The pickguard is red tort, I had to do a little work with my dremel to get it to fit correctly. As far as the paint, I used a can of that textured paint that people use for countertops.
