New Pearl Jam album

Just picked up the new Pearl Jam album Backspacer (awesome by the way) and I got a good laugh when I looked at the band members description in the sleeve, it reads as follows:

Pearl Jam

jeff ament- p bass
matt cameron- drums, percussions
stone gossard- guitar
mike mccready- guitar
eddie vedder- guitar, vocal

So they think a P-bass deserves its own categorization as an instrument? lol it's not like you're going to have a p-bass player and a stingray player in the same band

He usually sticks to his modulus J basses and his Hamer's all used J pickups, so it's interesting that he stuck to a P for an entire album.

I wonder which P he used?...

I caught that as well. I had pre-ordered, but was out of town when it arrived, so I've only listened to it twice. It's a great album, but it's not an instant love like their last album.

I've been hearing "The Fixer" on the radio quite a bit. It took a few times for it to catch on but now I really like it. It is more up tempo and has more of a pop flavor then some of their previous stuff.
