Is Tony Levin on the album?
How so?Games Without Frontiers.
This early 80s video was my first memory of his music. And I still love the song. However...
It seems like he is criticizing the thing that people like himself are probably the root cause of.
So why bring it up? I'm interested in your opinion, if you want to PM me.It's not worth discussing.
He is a great artist, but I wonder how he must have felt in the 1980s when the band he left became such global superstars.

So Is a masterpiece and it's not even really my style of music that I gravitate towards. I know I have a copy of So in my record collection. Simply brilliant.I'm guessing you haven't noticed how high his So album charted, and how much of a global superstar he became as a result of that album alone.

Sledgehammer was such a big hit but I never really liked the song that much. I mean, I could take it or leave it.
In your eyes
Don’t give up
Red rain
Live, those songs brought tears to my eyes. And the bass in Don’t Give Up!
I don't know much about genesis. Ive watched some of the old videos of them live when they were doing prog stuff. Gabriel struck me as a performing artist type, on top of being a musician. I think it's great. If he remained in that spirit, I should think he wouldn't have much interest in being in the later incarnation of genesis.
While $2400 is way too much, seeing Gabriel live is a great experience. I don’t think less of him at all. It is more than just a concert. His shows are awesome. Great production and sound takes a lot of people and equipment. Transportation, labor, insurance, venue cuts, promotion cuts, etc. And then there are the ticket brokers (that’s for a different discussion, not here). It all adds up. Once all is said and done, the artist’s take is pretty small.Hmm…let’s see, in San Francisco for instance, the worst seats are $140 and the ones up front are $2400. I can guarantee that I will not be attending.
He is free to charge whatever he wants, but I am also free to thank much less of him because of that.
