I just recently downsized from an old SWR 400s to the PJB Flightcase. Love the sound of this little wonder, would love to add an extension cab. Noticed the amp is rated at 4 ohms and the cab is 8, has anyone ever added an extension out on one of these? Also if anyone out there would like a little more grit and growl in their sound I highly recommend trying a sansamp VT pedal with one of these, the possibilities are amazing. Love this little amp just need a little more volume sometimes.

According to its manual the Flightcase BG-150...

...cannot drive an extension cab.
However, Mr. Jones has recently introduced a self-powered, 250 watt RMS, 6 x 5" neo cab called the PB-300...

...which is intended as a scalable bass amp solution for use with: the Bass Buddy, the BG-100, the BG-150, and the BG-300.
It's clear that Phil Jones is developing a pretty complete product line.
A Super Flightcase BG-300 and PB-300 Active Bass Loudspeaker together would seem to be a good small portable component rig. But you'd need a Super Flightcase and two PB-300s to equal the output of one Roadcase BG-800 combo. The three units would be more flexible than one Roadcase but also more expensive. I see where it gets spendy. Still, it might be nice to have a system to grow if needed.

I am day dreaming about plugging in my VT Bass Deluxe into the PB300. Would this work? One trip from the car
Two Festival seasons down the road the BG800 Roadcase with the PB300 has been more than enough for any gig. My final amp purchase for my lifetime.
