I've had a couple pieces of PJB gear in the past and I really liked them. I didn't realize how much I liked the sound of my pjb briefcase till after I had sold it and it was replaced by another ss amp that didn't have the same sweetness and solid bottom.
I'm very anxious to check out the cub..it's got 2 channels and weighs under 15 lbs..ridiculous actually!
but perfect for playing with a couple acoustic guitars and a violin..coffee house or open mic type things

I love my PJB D-200 and 6B but if I hadn't gotten them used I'd never be able to afford his stuff. I guess I'll have to wait a year (or two) for a Cub to show up on ebay.

I wonder why he doesn't stagger the drivers in his cabs to work as an almost line-array design.

Im unsure why he'd bother building both 18x and 21x cabs considering the minimal benefit. That's like offering both an 8x10 and a 9x10.

I like my 4Bs and wish he'd get on the stick and offer a higher power 2chan amp in the D- lineup.

As for driver placement, the ideal might be a single line of 5s or two crossfired lines, but I'm not sure how practical those enclosures would be.

I played through the prototype Roadcase at NAMM, and it certainly did kick booty!

Phil also had a 1U 4,600-watt class-D power amp that made some jaws drop (mine included!).

Yikes! How do you get that kind of wattage out of 120 volts and 20 amps (or less) assuming that at 1U that it doesn't have massive electronics (caps, trans, etc)?

I'm not sure, but this was a fairly substantial power amp.
