New PJ Mustang at Summer NAMM

Here is a pic of the "Twins"

There is a little amount of neck dive on both. More so on the Mustang P90
Both weigh 7lbs 6oz each
But the PJ sounds really good

The Sonic Blue's do look to have very little blue in them

I'd check the label on the Fender Box and see if it does indeed say Sonic Blue on it while matching up the serial number on the bass to the box

I saw 4 Sonic Blue PJ's earlier today on Sweetwater's site and now there gone. I'm sure they sold because I was able to purchase both of these and they never where up on the site. Jason just sent me the photo's of them that were going to be put up on the site.

strange though that there isn't any stock picture on the site stating "more arriving soon"

Same with thier Ebay listings. I've been debating all day. All 4 were up this morning, all SB and then gone by end of day.

Well, there was one listed earlier today, but now that link is dead. Maybe they weren't supposed to be listed yet? Did the bass sell out?

There were actually 4 listed when I checked - all blue. You can find their weights in post #358.
Maybe they weren't supposed to be put up yet, but given the number of people interested in this bass,
I wouldn't be surprised if they all sold right away.

This is seeming a little like the release of the Squier VI, pent up demand instantly soaked up everything released for the first few months. If you want one soon you probably need to get off the fence and act quickly. If you can stand to wait then I am sure they will make enough for everyone who wants one. I did not order my VI until months after they were first shipped. I had to wait six or eight weeks but I got one and it was everything I had hoped for. Good luck everyone, I might order one eventually but I won't be competing with you for the first shipments. That Torino Red does look pretty nice....

Fender probably didn't want them listed on their dealer sites until they listed them on the Fender site.

They pulled the link. If they were sold out, the link would have just gone to the page like it always does and shows a pic of the item and description of it saying more are on their way. I think someone screwed up and put it up a day early.

Sam Ash , and many other sites as well , claim these have maple "fingerboards". Fretted instruments have fretboards not fingerboards LOL

Sad that a major company can't provide accurate descriptions of their products. Typos are understandable but these issues regarding the fretboards and through body bridges have been pointed out for months.
