new pot for my dunlop crybaby

I've always heard do a Yellow fasel.
Pretty much, this is what people say
Red = guitar
Yellow = bass
= meaning which is better for what.

A Fasel inductor isn't a potentiometer.
BTW, I just rebuilt the original crudded-up pot in a ca.'69 Italian Crybaby (halo inductor, Ducati electrics) after it had been in wet storage for twenty years or so. Works perfectly, no noise, no rooting around for a proper replacement.

yea i cleaned mine out and everything but it still has the static sound
the pot is juts worn out and i need one that will last for a while and will sound awesome

You actually disassembled the pot and cleaned the wafer and polished the wiper contacts?
Anyway, I believe Dunlop sells the replacement pots for their various models, and you'd at least get the correct one.
Running around in circles searching for specialized parts is why I repair stuff (never mind the probability of destroying a forty-year-old plastic pinion gear trying to get it off the shaft). It's just less hassle in the end.

A $25 genuine Dunlop pot is no doubt nice and the simple answer, but I only paid $19.99 for my new DB-02 when they were closed out at GC. 
Hey, those Invalid Link Removed look nice and my Italian one was missing the switch entirely (I got it used wired for always-on), so it'd be nice to replace it. Is there a source that shows how to wire these retrofits up?

I got the pot (hot potz II 100k replacement) true bypass switch, led and instructions off ebay for $28 or so shipped... I couldn't find a new pot for less than 25...even checked electronics wholesellers.
For the true-bypass switch, i'm sure you could do a search for them and find out pretty easily. You could also try and understand the Three Pole Double Throw mechanism employed. If you have a diagram of what the circuit looks like you could possibly figure it out intuitively from the pole/throw usages.Cool source, but yikes on them prices.

I could figure it out, but a schematic might save a few minutes of brain energy and be more foolproof.
The existing switch wiring is just some taped-up kludge from 1970, minus the switch carcass.
I'm thinking switch, too -- but it could be anything.
Time to get out the multimeter and check the switch for function.
Don't have a multimeter? Shame! I've seen perfectly adequate little ones for as low as $3 at places like Harbor Freight. How can one survive without a multimeter?
