Re old songs.
Recently my band added three old pop songs to our set list.
"I Feel Love" by Donna Summer, 1977.
"One Way Ticket" by Neil Sedaka, 1959. We play 1979 Eruption's version though.
AND THE LAST ONE IS... drumroll...
"Mustang Sally" by Wilson Pickett, 1966. We play 1990 The Commitments' version which is not that different form original.
Please bear in mind that "Mustang Sally" in Ukraine is not a staple song it is in USA. Suffice is to say that when I've pitched it to the band, no one of 5 other band members knew what I was talking about.
Anyway, we already played these songs on two gigs, and they all went quite good with the audience.
