The whole song was great, but I really dug that whole spacy jam section at the end with the spoken words. Very cool.

I thought floyd too right when I heard the first break. I saw les do have a cigar in the 90s and dogs many years later and immediately thought of his floyd influence.

I think over-the-air radio is influencing song length less and less these days. The three-minute song is a product of radio.

Today, most listeners actually seek out their favorite artists/playlists/songs. So a long-form song seems like something they can get away with.

I love the new stuff. Excited they are playing more dates...wish they would do a different rush album for this leg of the tour, but apparently learning some Rush did the band some good.

They were going in the proggy direction already on the Desaturating Seven mini album. You can clearly hear some Rush influences on there.

I think the two new short songs are a bit predictable. The third song is a bit disappointing. Still nice but doesn't come close to the long one. Hope they play some of the new songs live in this tour. Maybe skip some Rush song instead.
