****New "quickie short scale" build ! ****

I had a bunch of miscellaneous parts here that were "leftovers" from other projects...a GFS Tele body, some pickups, a Bronco bridge, banjo armrest, Wilkinson swivel saddles, etc, etc....so when a Bronco neck came up in the classifieds recently, I jumped on it !

I may reshape the headstock and do a couple other things, but for now she's done. SUPER light weight ...lighter than my Longhorns... and sounds great. The EMG/Select bucker in the P Bass position sounds really good.... I'm digging it.

Here is the resulting build !

Reshaped headstock - I wanted something original (ie - non-Fender) that still suggested "Tele".... anyway, here it is -

Thanks ! This one took some work to make it all fit correctly, and I had to fabricate some parts, but overall I'm really happy with how it has come out ...so far !

Just whatever I had - I think it is 3 GHS flats and a D'Add Chrome flat as a G string....

I'm really thinking about doing the Tele stock ... not sure what I'll do for a logo though.

This thing is light as...well, lighter than...a feather !

Sounded great - it was a long gig, so the light weight was definitely welcome as well.

Ive been thinking about thia same kind of build. Hows the neck dive on this beast is my main concern.

Neck dive isn't too bad...a little bit, but not much. Of course the total bass weighs 4.5-5 lbs, so it's not really an issue. However, if I reshape the headstock (which I might do today), then that should alleviate it completely.
