Hey all!
I hope this isn't too redundant, but after some Nordstrand dual coils and some fresh Curt Mangan strings, this new (month old) bass continues to boggle the mind! Sounds and plays so, so good! My Fodera Monarch sits in its case now.
The Monarch is stupid-good, but this bass is 33" scale, has the Trickfish 3 band IPA in it, and was wired up by Ryan himself in the Trickfish cabin. I truly have owned a custom bass from just about every small shop and large shop. This one is next level, and NOT a honeymoon bass. Just killing. 9 pounds on the nose, and balances like a gymnast.
We added 3 way switches, replacing the 2 way parallel/series switches with the 3 way ones, adding single coil operation to each dual coil.
Enough blah blah. IF you can get Ray to build you a bass, you are dang lucky!
If you own an R Bass/Roger bass, post it up here!
