New Rig Question

And no. Im going to buy used off the TB Classifieds, but am saving for something that will last me longer. I also want a mini head, meaning something that weighs 3-5 pounds.

I would say if you are going with 1 cabinet make it a 4 ohm 410. Then at least get max. The best way to add volume is to add speakers all things being even. Check the forums here for sale items.

Okay. Final update.

I have my cab, looks amazing and smells like new amp... one problem! NO HEAD!

So last night I was looking through the classifieds and found a Gallien Krueger MB2-500 last night for 450. I PM'ed him ASAP.
We worked it down to 425, with shipping and a Monster 1/4 inch cable thrown in. It ships Monday.

Im so excited! I have been saving for nearly 8 months, and as I have said have given up a lot of 16 year old social life for this wait.

Oh, should be pushing 350 watts at 8 ohms.

Just plug in the head to the cab, you need a 1/4 cable to plug the head into the cab then just plug in your bass from the front and you should be all set. ps. congratulations on your new rig!!! I got the acoutic head you originally wanted with a 8ohm 210 fender cab and a 8ohm 115 GK cab in an about 600 people venue, plenty of volume and killer tone!!!! I am also 16 so I know how you feel about money

You know the sound you think of when you think of a nice, low, crunchy amp? Thats my rig.

The head? I got mine for 425 used, 174 dollars less than a new, straight from TB. It had the original box, case, cables, foot switch. Plus, the guy threw in a Monster 1/4" cable and free shipping! What a deal!
