New Semi-hollow Ibanez Fretless

TOTALLY want! Waiting for a demo video so I can hear it, and also for the news that they're going to release a 6 string version. If this sounds the way I think it's going to sound, I'd happily sell my Portamento to have this instead.
Love that they brought back the SR30th in this manner. In a nicer colour too!
I had an SRH which I enjoyed except the lines became little speedbumps. I'd be concerned about that and the inlays doing the same thing here, but they're very nice looking basses.
Ibanez had that demo video on their website for whatever it's worth. I would rather just hear someone play a walking bass line with no effects just to get an idea of the tone.

That can happen to any bass. I've had fingerboards resurfaced more than a few times.
Any lined fretless, yes, which is why I’ve stopped bothering with lines.
Over a grand and you don't get real nordstrand pickups...

Yeah, same here. They went to an awful lot of trouble to post a video demo that sounds like it could have been any fretless on the planet - and they have awful intonation to boot.
Doesn't take much for a repairman to bring those down. And it's not like it happens over and over; once the wood acclimates to your climate it all settles down.
Nice! But if I'm honest, what I want is an SRH500 with a mag pickup added.
Which is basically the formula for a Spector Core.
I already have a Yamaha BEX4, and love the semi-hollow vibe and the flexibility of both piezo and mag pups. I also have a Fender MIM Power Jazz Bass with a fretless neck, so piezo and mags again but solid body.
It is, but both out of production unfortunately. And, superficially, I love the looks of the SRH, from the f-hole to the colours and the curves.
i have the Big Breaks on my EHB-1505
they are fantastic and kill the Big Singles with hum cancelling
this is an easy buy when they ship!
