New Sire GB5 Fretless 4

Has anyone been able to try the Sire GB5 fretless yet?? I'm so curious, and tempted. Ideally, I'd love a medium scale fretless hollowbody (or chambered body), but I don't know that such a beast exists.

I have not but there's a brand new Anderton's video on the GB5, both fretted and fretless, and according to the video, those are in stock (or at least were when it was made...):

How cool would that look with black tapewound strings?
I wonder why an extra hundy for the fretless. Surely a little less fiddly to make.

Maybe the lines are different/less common than the frets and take another process. They're wood in the slot where frets would be, right?

Starting with the second generation of their initial model range (M2, M7, P7, V3, V7 etc.) — around 2019, I guess —, Sire started to treat all fretless instruments as "custom models" with a higher price than the fretted versions (often around 100 $), and similar all left-hand instruments. I do think it's due to the much smaller production numbers in a probably rather industrialized built process, so I can cope with that...

Ok, I've decided - I'm getting one of these and slapping in a thinline humbucker mag, AND I'm getting an Epi JC fretless and adding in Graphtech Ghost piezos!!

I had one pre-ordered but when I watched the Andertons vid I canceled. Too much shine for me.
