By experience...does the P7 sounds like a precison with only the neck pickup? I have a kind of desire of getting my hands in a P7 with flats...neck for precison like and bridge pickup for some old fashion 60´s funk.

I would think so. Put a split coil pickup in the p-position on any bass and it will sound like a p-bass
The P7 has the same neck that is on the V7, which is a jazz bass clone, and is not as wide as a Fender Precision bass neck. I really like it - some may not. I suggest going to the Fender and Sire websites for specifics if it makes a difference.
Same model, same BMR color but They all suffered from the same problem. It almost looked like they had painted the body when it still was a bit moist witch made the paint raise from the body in long horisontal stripes on both the front and back of the body. Two had som black dirt in the white binding of the neck, two had paint fixes and one dents on the fretboard and back.
Really weird.
I told Thomann only to send me one if it was checked and ok. and if you couldn't get me one red the just send me a good one in any color.
Thomanns quality staff apparently didn't bother at all.
Their last response to these issue was that you had to expect these kind of faults in a bass at that price category.
Anyway, All I have read and heard else where on Sire has only been great about these basses.
And any guitar or bass maker can probably have a bad batch, So I will give it one more try.

Do you have to buy through Through Thomann? Isn’t ordering directly from Sire an option in all areas?
I assume that you are Swedish. Bax-shop recently started selling the V7, order from them instead. No more Thomann for me since i've also had bad customer service experiences with them.
I have a P with flats and I have a P7 now that I've put half flats on (strung through the body because why the hell not, I've never had the opportunity to try that before and I was curious what it'd be like). My P7 does not sound like my P, but it's not a completely fair comparison due to the difference in strings and the P7 being strung through the body (assuming that can make tonal differences of course).
My P has this nice aggressive bite to its thump that I'm not hearing yet with the P7. That said, I have yet to put the time into the P7 that I've put into the P, so it might still be there and I just haven't found it yet. I do know that I'm not sold on these strings I've got on the P7 yet. They feel.. 'awkward' for the lack of a better word. I'm avoiding putting flats on the P7 because one of the reasons I bought it was to have a single bass that could give me both vintage and modern tones, and I fear that throwing flats on there will negate a lot of the modern tones I should be able to get from the active PJ combo, but this is all part of the learning curve with a new bass, right?
What I can tell you is that this P7 sits beautifully in the mix. It has a wonderfully rich bottom end that isn't muddy or undefined but I can also remove any of that modern bite that I find common with most active pups. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well or not. Maybe I can put it this way. One of the bands I'm in is an 80s tribute band. We play songs from The Ramones to Duran Duran, and that was one of the things that prompted me to buy this bass. I wanted to be able to cover that range tonally without switching out basses. I received my P7 on Saturday, and gigged it Saturday night (which also speaks to how amazing the set up was on this bass right out of the box). Even with my very limited (like 45 minutes preshow) experience with the bass, I felt I was doing a really decent job of dialing all the tones I was looking for. From I Wanna Be Sedated, complete with playing it all downstroked with a pick, to Rio, and even some slapping when we covered You Spin Me Round.
All that to say, right now my P7 doesn't sound exactly like my P, but it's damn close, certainly close enough so far for what I've needed. And I'm wondering if with further tweaking and just getting to know the instrument if I might be even able to surpass the tone I get with my P (which I love btw).
Now I'm just holding out for Sire to make a P neck to purchase. They told me they are planning on it, so fingers crossed, because I'd buy one in a second!
Oh, and next week I hope to shoot a vid with the P7 from a band rehearsal so people can hear it in the mix.
I ordered a fretless V7/Alder/Rosewood/TS/5 String on 8/29...still waiting. From the reviews I expect it to be worth the wait.
Hoping for my fretless P7 5 Ash/Maple by the end of November, but if it shows up a month later, well, 'tis the season too. 
Some people prefer the Jazz neck on a P bass body, so I get that, but what I don't like is they all are P/J setups instead of any straight up P configurations.
Not if you have no desire, want, or need for the J bridge pickup and don't like he aesthetics of it.
Their preamp setup is already rigged for 2 pickups and they're trying to give their customers what they want (what Sire can sell the most of, that is). Obviously not the bass for strict P purists.
If its an aesthetic issue, then yeah... fair enough. Perhaps someday they'll offer a "P7 Vintage" with a single pickup, passive electronics, and a P-width nut...
For now I totally understand the compromises they've made, especially from a manufacturing/ economy of scale standpoint. Why reinvent the wheel when you can satisfy the majoirty your customer base by utilizing the same necks and onboard electronics on a new model.

Be a pal and post a couple of pics when your bass comes in. I've never seen a P7 fretless. I was thinking of getting a V7 Vintage fretless. However the idea of a fretless PJ is pretty appealing.
