These look sweet. It's a toss up between one of these or the EBMM SS Ray to add to the arsenal.

No! Don't get the EBMM S it only has a one way truss rod! Sire is 3 way. I have owned a u5 for 2 years now. And it feels like Im playing a warm stick of butter. The rolled edges. The workmanship is top notch. I am buying the fretless soon. But I also have an Ibanez ehb 10p5sms. 30-32" scale. I love that too. 2 different worlds check it out! Only short scale B string that sounds good

Thinking about getting one of these and swapping out the pickups for Dimarzio Model P/J's like I had on a bass I foolishly sold. Push/pull pot on the volume for parallel/series on the P.

I taped off around it and used spray. It isn’t perfect but if you are a few feet away it’s fine.
