Hey, as you can tell I'm a newbie..I tried to set my gearlist on profile, but being on a blackberry makes intranet awkward/random.
I recently purchased a SWR 750x amp. I didn't have a working cab, so I'm using some speakers(which just fried) that came with a crappy portable alto PAsystem.
I not only play a 5string jazz bass, but I also play a r3synth, akai mpc500 with a jamman loop pedal. So there is an extreme varity of sound going on...most say to go with PAs on this, but the sound quality has always been blatent to me that bass rigs are better for my purposes.
I was wondering what cab I was going to get. I was wanting to get multiple ones, so I could split them up, but I can't spare the extra cash. So I was going to start out with a single full stack.
I was leaning towards a SWR megoliath8x10"...but I also was considering a mesa powerhouse 1200 which is 1x15"+4x10".
Both are 1200watts..not sure on impendance.
Of course, I'm all ears for more reconmendations.
But like I said I was leaning towards the SWR cuz of the array of sound I'm working with.
