New speaker

Hello!
I am about to change speaker on my Marshall Bass state 150W combo. The original was a 15 inch, 8 Ohms speaker and that's all i know. Then the second user replaced it with a RCF 75 W speaker and it's not working well with my combo.
I found a 500w celestion for a good price cca. 50 €, but it's a full range speaker. I was wondering if this is a good or a bad thing.

Find a speaker identical to whatever Marshall used in that combo. It was designed from the ground up with that particular driver. Anything else is nothing more than a crapshoot.

1) Contact Marshall, determine what speaker came in it.
2) Order a replacement speaker identical to the original one.
3) Install
4) Play

yes i know this, but it could cost me alot. anyways (in theory) what do you think about combinig my combo with a full range speaker.

If there's an output for another speaker, then provided you select one with impedence compatible with the amp (ref: your owner's manual), then sure, you can add an external speaker.

But: the question is: why do you want a full range speaker for bass?

Bass = Bass = not a full range of frequencies.

Hi,
If you buy the Celestion speaker, can you return it if you do not like the sound? You can't really tell how it is going to sound unless you can try it.
Also, are you really sure that the RCF speaker does not sound good? - have you heard another speaker in the combo?
