Have to admit, the lack of symmetry in Single Cuts is often compensated with nicer designs, and I have seen some very pretty, but this one looks pretty unbalanced, SC for the sake of SC.... so... I've seen prettier basses, but none uglier than the comments making fun/comparing with people with deformities, pretty lame in my opinion.

Don't really get why most single cut basses have to extend the upper bout all the way to the 12th fret, that's what makes them look so out of proportion... why not the 16th/17th fret like a Les Paul bass?

The strap button on these is exactly where it would be on a traditional double cutaway bass.

And the whole point of the modern design is to have a shorter length of neck free of the body so it will be more stiff while being made of the same material. A stiffer neck gives more sustain and clarity on notes below E. That's why you normally see them on 5 and 6 strings.

Is this an ugly bass thread? Awesome.

Hard to say what I think. Few of us play an electric bass vertically.

How would it look on [cute young thing with chops I'll never have]? Sometimes a bass looks better without moobs.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is all very well and good, but let's face it, there's always been a well-established ugly and it takes someone special to find beauty in what most consider ugly.
Butterfly...beautiful.
Cockroach...ugly.
Hummingbird...beautiful.
Vulture...ugly.
Lion..beautiful.
Warthog...ugly.
Studebaker Starliner...beautiful.
Pontiac Aztek...ugly.

I actually kind of like it, and I've never been a single cut fan. This version works, somehow.

Spector really needs to stop with the stretched out body thing. The Gumby look is not a good look.
