New Squier 50's P bass

Slim "C" neck and 9.5" radius though... On the other hand, it sure is pretty!
I noticed this morning and said damn!!! I need to stop looking. I don’t need another 50’s bass....but need and want are two different things.LOL
Very nice. Love that color with maple fingerboard and always wanted a 50's P-bass. Now it's on my radar.
I checked with my local Fender dealer a couple of days ago who in turn reached out to FMIC in California regarding availability of the Sunburst version. They were advised that these won't be shipping until November.

It looks really nice.
Even if I personal am not that fond of white basses it's one of the best looking white basses I've ever seen, and I actually prefer it to the sunburst version.
Always loved the look and tone of those old P and Tele basses too, there's something really nice about those single coil pickups.
It's not for me though, both because, as said, I am not too fond of white basses, and because I prefer short scales.
When that is said it does look really nice for a white bass, and it's absolutely a huge plus that it features a slimmer neck and not the usual standard wide and thick P bass neck, C shaped and small frets fits my preferences as well.
If I was into standard 34" scale basses and I was somehow forced to get a white bass it would have been close to perfect for me and I would seriously consider getting one, even if the fact that it only got 20 frets is not optimal for me either.
If a short scale, 22 fret, black version was available I would have been all over it, and it would have topped my GAS list.
Now come to think of it I don't think I ever saw a short scale bass with that pickup configuration, which is a shame, since, as said, I really love the tone of it.
