New Squier Affinity V (Natural) — Wood?

Ive been looking out for this one, but it's not listed on the site anymore. oh well

I sure would have grabbed one of those in a heartbeat. I never once even seen this anywhere - locally or on the net. Were these even promoted anywhere - c'mon Squier give a guy a chance, sheez! Lol

How could something that awesome fly under the radar so well?

I would think these two models would have done exceptionally well with a Natural Finish option like that.

Just seems bizarre to <almost> put out an awesome natural finish Jazz and Precision and pull them before they even hit the market. :atoz:

Note: I sent the MF link (still active) and an inquiry e-mail to Fender/Squier Consumer Relations dept asking for some detail about these. Would love to know the background story on these. I'll keep the thread posted if they reply.

Checking back in with Fender's reply regarding the bass(es) in question, this is their reply:

"These were offered as a FSR from roughly 06-2012 to 03-2014 but are no longer available. They may be reintroduced at some point but as of right now there are no plans to do so".

Bummer. :( BTW - in case anyone was wondering, FSR = Fender Special Run.
