I thought it was Luke's hand giving it to the new girl. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Here's what I really like so far. Episodes I-III tried to distance themselves from IV-VI. The new trailer gives us all the familiarity of what we love and enough new stuff and questions to go "Ooooo, I can't wait."

Definitely agree. From what I've read (and seen), Abbrams wants to get back to the originals as far as the feel. That's a good thing in my book because the prequels just had a different feel to them- regardless of acting or dialogue or what have you. Just knowing that we're gonna be seeing some familiar faces among so many new ones in a Star Wars movie is awesome.

I thought it was Rey giving it to Leia. Check out the arm - Rey is wearing what looks like a wrist computer or communicator when you see her in the trailer, and the person handing over the lightsaber in that scene was wearing something very similar. Lots of rumours abound that Rey is Leia and Han's daughter.

Kylo Ren looks suitably creepy, with his funky mask and claymore lightsaber. Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma looks cool as hell (the chrome Stormtrooper), and the Han and Chewie scene was just spine-tingling. Apparently the factions have new names too - it's no longer the Empire and the Rebels, but The First Order and The Resistance.

I'm also noting that they are not calling it "Episode VII" anywhere in the posters, trailers or other promo material. It's just "The Force Awakens". I'm sure it'll be titled as Episode VII in the opening crawl, but that seems like it'll be the only place.

2) That looks an awful lot like Anakin's lightsaber that ended up being Luke's lightsaber in A New Hope and Empire. The same lightsaber that went flying when Dad chopped off his hand and supposedly into the abyss of Cloud City hundreds of meters below. If it is Anakin's saber, I'd love to know how it was found!!

It looks like Anakin's lightsaber that Obi-Wan gave Luke in ANH, not the one that Darth Vader used against Luke in ROTJ or the one that Luke made before ROTJ (after he lost dad's lightsaber in ESB).

I'm pretty sure it's Anakin's lightsaber, the blue one that Luke lost when Vader lopped his hand off in Cloud City. It's definitely the same design.
