New tattoo!

I know scabbing and peeling happens, but a blister? This is right after all of the scab came off so maybe it's just healing...

Hmm, went by and they were closed even though they're supposed to be open. The blister already drained on its own so I put some triple strength anti-bacterial on it and on two other little red areas on my skin that look like they're the beginnings of blisters...

I asked him and he said that all that was happening was the combination of the antibacterial and the lotion was irritating my skin...he told me to use a different cream. As I left, he told me to take a bath. I'm starting to think that this guy is not a very good artist, I looked up some of this stuff on the internet and it turns out he should have at least given me a bandage or more instructions
The only thing that he did was give me some A&D ointment and tell me to not pick at it! It turns out there's a lot of stuff he just didn't tell me about. It just burns me up that it's my own fault. I should have looked this stuff up before I went. Figures that the guy's not a good artist, he's the only tattooist in my small college town. This is just great, now I've possibly got some kind of infection, I'm out $40 and I have a tattoo that'll probably fade from a jackass.

Most tattoo artists give you a care instruction sheet before you leave. They should tell you what to do, and what not to do! Once the tattoo is finished, it should be wrapped in some sort of bandage before you go on your merry way. And they should stand by their work NO MATTER WHAT!! If your tattoo fades or has holidays, he is the one that needs to fix them free of charge.
Your tattoo should heal fine, I would wait until it is done healing first before you jump to conclusions. If things are not right with you tattoo once it's healed, go back to the artist and show him.

If this guy didint even bandage you up something is really off. I like to use AD ointment for about 5 days after the session. Dont pic at the skin if it is really bothering you take a shower and use some soap gently over the area. Oh yes it is comming back to the time to go get another one.
Since this is a tatoo thread, I don't want to start another one. I just want everyone's opinion on something.
I'm seriously considering the design I posted earlier (seen below) for my first tatoo. A lot of my friends, however, think it looks like a 69. What do you guys think? Does it look too much like a 69 to turn into a tatoo and not get jeered at when people see it?

I tend to agree, but I have to admit that if you look at it in just the right mindset, it's not hard to think it's a 69, ESPECIALLY if you don't know what a bass clef is or looks like.

I agree. BTW use antibacterial soap i.e. Dial, Lever 2000 would be my first choices. DO NOT use Irish Spring or Dove/Ivory as these are moisterizing and sented soaps which will irratate and continue whatever infection you have.
