New: Tech 21 VT-500 Bass Amp

No, because I was running The di to foh, I wanted the speaker simulation and therefore, my sound was totally sansamp. I normally wouldn't have done that with the vtrm but, the mid switch set to 500Hz and boosted really brought back punch and fullness to the di sound. If there is another updated in the future, I'd like to see a second mid band and some more watts. Not that I personally need it but, with different cabs I probably would. The bag ends are just so efficient and voiced perfectly. I was using my broughton audio band pass pedal to cut a little low end which really helped in the mix. I'd like to see that feature built into every bass amp. Tech21, are you listening? This is just a really sweet gig amp.

Darn. After reading all this I'm not my usual, rational self anymore. I have a great sounding "hifi" amp (PJB Suitcase) that (IMO) only has its weight as a downside. I couldn't justify buying a second amp, yet I find myself GAS-ing for one of these...good thing no store in my area seem to carry it, I guess.

What are you using for a Cab?
