I am an accomplished woodworker and have always wanted to build a guitar. A friend gave me a step-by-step manual on building a 6-string electric and I never did it. Now my son is learning bass and asked me if I thought I could ever build him his next axe. So, where do I start? Is there a set of plans or book for a beginner that any of you would recommend? I'm fine on the actual process of cutting and finish. I need advice on measurements and the like. I've been reading here for a while and am ready to start the adventure. Thanks in advance for the advice.
