New to octave, filter, fuzz, delay, chorus

what do I need to do? what order should I put them in? I don't know anything about compressors or limiters. Am I going to have to tweak each pedal for every song?

Overall, I advise against using effects unless you feel they'll enhance the music you're making. Try sitting down with each box separately and going through all its parameters to get a feeling for what it does. Hopefully, you'll develop a sense of effects as part of the instrument -- an aspect you can use in any way that helps you make better music. Good luck!
