Hi, there everyone. I've been playing bass a while, went to school, realized I didn't love hustling for every gig so I decided to go with a more "normal" career (science/engineering). I even laid off bass for a while until I realized I was calling myself a musician but not, you know, playing music. So I decided to get back into it and without the pressure of finding a gig to make money, it's a lot more fun. I went to school for jazz, but I just don't have that kind of time any more, and I also love rock/pop, so I go in that direction these days.
I also laid off music forums for even longer, but I think talking about playing bass keeps me more inspired, and what better place to talk about bass than here. Plus, pretty much every search about a bass-related topic leads here and I've been creeping the classifieds for a while (just got into effects, and I have to say the Darkglass Alpha Omega makes way better sounds than the Boss ODB-3 that I had to wrestle for hours just to get something useable).
