I did a CA finish on my Kubicki lined fretless ebony fb many years ago. I don't play it all the time but it's held up well, even with rounds.

A nice first bass, congrats! I'm sure the workmanship is great! Bartolinis should be a good choice for a fretless, too.
The body shape seems slightly unusual, but at least it has some personality
