New to VBass

I just got one a week ago and I'm having some problems with the tracking on certain sounds, like the stand up bass. I had the
divided pickup installed by a pro, and I have checked the sensitivity settings etc... but the E string goes thud and the lowB is picking up very weak eventhough the distance
is right between strings and pickup, and sensitivity is at 100
on the lowB. Does anyone know of this or is having a similar problem?
