New Unexpected Bass Day - Woods Question (please help identify)

Neck is wenge. Looks like someone oiled it at one point :/
Rosewood fingerboard.
I'd say walnut body.
No idea about the top.

On my phone, the brass ornament on the cabinet looked like a weed bud - picture #6. Had to go to my PC to make sure.

I'm also in the walnut/maple & wenge/rosewood club. Neck could possibly be walnut, but the open grain tells me otherwise. Looks awesome, the previous owner made some great choices. The maple top is a stunner. The only thing I'd do is swap the tuners to elephant ears or lollipops.

I’m putting my money on the neck being rosewood with a better quality rosewood board.

I feel like walnut and maple are the correct body wood guesses, so I’ll jump on that bandwagon.

Here’s the hero we need.

Hilarious skit, but Western Red Cedar is easy to discern because it has a very pungent small. It's what lines "cedar chests" to keep the moths out of wool clothing and fabrics. We had a small closet lined with it for my mother's fine wool clothing and, as a young kid playing hide and seek, if someone hid in the closet, the smell stayed with them for quite a while...

Though I am not really a big fan of that plug in style straplock, as it is the only kind I have ever had let go, I think it's really cool how they sunk them into the body like that so they are "invisible".

I've never experienced it, but I bet I would love NUBD (new unexpected bass day). I'm not an expert but my first thought was walnut body with rosewood neck. Beautiful bass regardless of the kingdom/phylum/class/order/family/genus/species.

Found this bass in my Reverb Feed today:

Cohnway Rosewood JBass / Fender Deluxe Hard Case

The similarities in the headstock shape are very close. Made me wonder if Quadzilla's bass might be an early offering from this seller. The use of exotic woods is another similarity. Just a thought and maybe a point of contact for history of it.
