- Jez Kerr of A Certain Ratio (Solid postpunk band with lots of funk from Factory Records, still going strong!)

Did they play Secret Separation?I saw The Fixx a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic show. Real pros who know how to bring it. Cy's voice is stronger than ever and he and guitarist Jamie have huge stage presence. Dan K. Brown with his headless bass stood motionless next to the drum kit as expected lol.
Occasionally David Barbe would fill in on guitar. He also went on as the bassist for "Mercyland" and "Sugar" with Bob Mould. At the same time he also co owns Chase Park Transduction Studios in Athens Ga. We're he has produced the likes of REM, Son Volt, Cracker, just about everything by The Drive By Truckers and is also the director of the University of Georgia's music dept. really good guy and great to work with and kind of an unspoken hero here in Athens.

THE DAMNED who were the original British punk band turned 'new wave' in their later years and then also had some really good bass lines; I used to believe it had always been Captain Sensible playing bass for them, but he's actually switched to guitar by that time, and they had several different bassists then also, like this fella called Paul Gray:
Earlier, Gray made his mark with this band(and on this classic song)...as well as on Johnny Thunders’ iconic first solo album...Also spending some time in UFO...
Good to see ACR getting some love! Don Johnson (ACR drummer) is also pretty handy on bass.Excellent band and a very cool bass player. Thanks for the memories...

Eric's Alumni (Eric's was a club in Liverpool, and bizarrely, just across the road from the Cavern, made famous by another Liverpool band).
Paul Gray is playing for The Damned again on their latest album "Evil Spirits" & touring with them. Great player.
I love Gary “Mani” Moufield’s playing on the 1989 Stone Roses debut. Such great simple hooks. I can only imagine what it must be like to play bass with Reni. One of my favorite rock drummers of all time.
