I found it quite the opposite these days. I wish Nick would just shut his mouth at times!!!! haha All that aside I shouldn't complain. They have one of the coolest and best effects demo channels on the internet IMO. I liked it more when it was more bass-centric. But I still love it now.

I've tried to like the MT2 in the past. It's a fun experiment I guess. Maybe the Waza will be different if I ever get to try one. That Dimension though, man that thing sounds AMAZING on his fretless! I have a Dimension model in my HXFX that I really like a lot. It loses bottom though. I have to add more clean in to fix that. But the Waza one sounds awesome. I like that it has the option to switch to the OG rack unit it was based on too. Very cool. I love Boss. They are a great company.

I will say this though, why the heck didn't they do the HM2???!! But Nick said something in the beginning of this video that probably answers that. The MT2 was their second highest selling pedal of all time. So that's probably why.

MY question is where is the HM-2W? With all the clones out there you'd think they would take a page out of EH's page with the Muff reissues and reissue this classic.

I love the MT-2's voice on bass, but agree it could benefit from a blend. I bet with your Damnation looper it would sound amazing. I've been super influenced by my Daring Audio Laser Cannon HD to only distort my high end and leave the lows intact. The Metal Zone would be, imo, an amazing top end tone sculptor to lay over a thick low end.

It's a nice idea. I just can't get past it's voicing. The way it sounds. But we'll see how the bass world accepts it. If there are some rave reviews I'd consider reconsidering my POV. There is just so much out there these days to get too excited over an MT2 waza ya know... fo me.....plus the HX has quelled my GAS attacks hard.

Maybe that's part of the reason why they didn't. The fact that there are a ton of clones out there now. I would've loved to have seen one that's for sure. But at least they seem to be on the right path. I bet you money we'll see a slow gear, PN2, some of the old ones that aren't cloned much and are rare and expensive eventually released. You can bet money though that they'll stick with top sellers too. I would LOVE to get an OC2w. That would just be smart on Boss's part in my eyes. But hey, they seem to be doing just fine following the courses they do.

Imagine they do an ODB-3X? Lol! Seriously though, I'll buy the MT-2W used for sure when they pop up in about a month on Reverb. I absolutely love the crunchyness it has.

I'd be all over that one as well. I hold a special place for the ODB3. Actually, that one makes sense too. It's gotta be one of their top selling pedals.

Interesting. That's one of the very few Boss pedals I think sounds pretty bad on bass. Just too separated a sound between wet and dry. Why is it so special to you?

I'm not quite sold on the MT-2w, it doesn't seem to get a great low end without also muffling the highs and mids. That may be just the way Juan dials in his tone though, so I'm reserving judgement until I hear more peeps use it. I imagine the other popular bass channels will get ahold of it soon enough.

Seriously considering picking up a DC-2w, I have a chorus addiction and I figure worst case scenario it'll be useful running my synths in stereo through it.

RE: Pedals and Effects, I've definitely noticed as time went on that there was waaaay more talking and frankly weird soapboxes. The criticism of pedals with more that one knob on it felt childish, and I feel like the channel switched from its roots of making cool, weird music with cool, weird pedals in a usable manner to a circlejerk of noise. I like noise rock as much as the next guy, but I definitely feel like they don't highlight usable applications in their demos anymore and it doesn't help me as a consumer to inform my pedal purchases. One big exception is their demo of the Tensor, I felt that was really really well done.

The Dimension sounds amazing, I'll probably pick one up- Should make an awesome stereo rig with my Tremolo/Pan and Tera Echo. Little disappointed they did the MT-2 before the HM-2, but it might be useful. I know bassists that use it more of a slightly dirty eq/boost.

Glad to see the Dimension C is back. One of the cooler effects Boss ever produced. Go a lot of use out of mine in my progger days before I lost it in a move. This Waza version is interesting in that it switches between the Boss pedal version and the Roland rack version which was similar sounding (one of my old keyboard players had one of those) but different.

A little proud at $229 IMO. But considering the originals go for prices far north of that and don't have the Roland Dimension D option, I guess I shouldn't complain.

Added to the "To Buy" list.
