After about 20 mins playing with mine (arrived today), I have to say, this is a home run for Zoom. The noise compared to other models is minimal. I usually take a run through the patches to see what catches my ear, and there are a few very usable ones with this one.

Love the rhythm and looper too. Very easy to use. I didn't have to pick up the manual at all.

I'm now conflicted upon hearing of the B5. However I'm becoming more and more of a minimalist and this is a great size.

I have the same time and thoughts..

The patches are just not fun at all and some of them are really high gain and causing some major peak in volume.

On the other hand, going through every single pedal is really fun! The tuner tracks the low B really fast!

HOME RUN it is!

Does not come with a USB cable and that's a bummer..

Any news if expression pedals from other brands like line 6 will work?

I can tell you that my Line 6 expression pedal worked just fine with my G3. Unless Zoom changed something drastic, it should work with the B3.

Just got mine today from Route 66 MusicGear on Ebay,nice folks,good service.Just begining to check it out,there is some cool stuff here.Quick question,the manual lists the effects by name and number,I can't seem to get any numbers in the display,am I missing something?Numbers would make some of the scrolling referencing easier,at least for me.Any help would be appreciated,thanks.

The tuner is good and accurate.

Any experience with the Korg PitchBlack, and if so, how does it compare? I've notice that the tuner in the G3 is slower to use and less accurate than my PB, but in fairness to Zoom it may somehow be specifically calibrated for guitar. I'm hoping the results are better on the B3 once I pick one up.

Hmmm.. I think it's comparable to the TU-2 than the pitch black..

This seems like quite the pedal. Is there anything that is close to this in terms of features and price?

Maybe the DIGITECH BP355, it has the same connections and similar effects/amp sims.. the price here in Europe is also pretty similar.
My band's guitarist uses the guitar version and says it's great, but it works different from the b3, it uses patches instead of separate pedals.
The line 6 M series could also be an alternative, but it's more expensive and doesn't have bass amps and preamps nor the DI.

Good to hear. The guitarist at my church uses a Zoom A2 and it's noisy as all get out and drives me up the wall. Maybe he just has it EQ'd all wonky, though. The noise (which he can't hear but comes straight through my in-ears and out to house) sounds like he might have the high frequencies maxed.

Glad to hear comments like this on the B3.
