New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

hi guys, im new to bass and would like to get a amp simulator pedal and a audio interface. the b3 fits pretty well until i see that there is a new upcoming b3n. anyone know if i should wait for the b3n? the b3 look really simple and easy to use and seems to fit me pretty well
I would wait till the new one hits here, and buy a used B3 for cheap. My ¢.02's.
Johno!

A lot of people bang on about not having an XLR out...

Can someone please post a video or sound clip comparing a XLR out to a standard 1/4 out with all other variables the same, so I can actually hear the difference please?

Thanks
You shouldn't hear any difference. Simply the xlr out is invented to have a signal that can be sent to long distance without signal loss, with impedance match with the mixer desk's input. So it's handy, that you don't have to use a seperate D.I. box.

I guess I am just surprised that it might come close at $199.

what types of H9 sounds float your boat? Have you looked for hints in the B3n product/effects manuals? Really, though, IMO there is no replacement for just trying something out and using it. If you like, great. If not, worst case is you take a small hit in resale, or you return to vendor for store credit, or swap, or (if you're lucky) get a full refund.

I really like the mods, reverbs and delays in the H9. Haven't heard the OD.

B9.1's bypass and ADA converters are sub par compared to a B3. It has less effects, less possibilities in routing and relies on an older technology.
I can't think of a single good reason to go this way. Just get a MS60B or another B3 to plug on each side of whatever you need inserted.

American Musical Supply has them as arriving March 15th, and when I placed my pre-order, the date was end of February. I placed an order and then went back to the website, and it had changed to March arrival. Don't know if I was lucky and got in early on a limited run, or if they never had the date correct from the beginning, and were teasing prospective buyers. We'll see.
