Newbie from Indiana

Hey bass players. Just joined a few minutes ago! Looking forward to picking your brains for info and just chat music. Been at this for about four years now. Better late than never ....just turned 60 last year. Here is the rig I use and the instruments.

Anybody got some words of wisdom for learning James Jamerson bass lines. I am really slogging it on the song Bernadette.

 

Gear Acquisition Syndrome or GAS? I think not. I've been done buying gear for awhile. Purchases were based on recommendations from the local Sweetwater Academy and bass players for what would be needed for the Build a Band program and general all around venues...cafes, churches, fairs, etc. I don't see me buying any new equipment for several years aside from some inexpensive audio line-in triggered cab lights. I am done so GAS does not really apply. Now, if I bought something new every month and risked my marriage relationship over the purchases, then it would definitely be a GAS problem....lol!
