I'm Kayla, a brand new baby bassist as of.. two months ago(?)..ish.. Had a rough few weeks personally though, so really it's more apt to call it a fair 3 weeks all said, I think!
I'm located in Maryland and was a competitive bagpiper just a few short years ago (last competition for me was the World Pipe Band Championships August 2019). While I don't really play the big highland variety of bagpipe anymore, I do still play Scottish Smallpipes, and I'll also occasionally noodle around on the Ukulele.
I've also been known to pick away at the mandolin, but it's probably been 15 or so years since it's been out of the case! ...I should dust it off one of these days...
Anywho! Thanks for having me! I look forward to reading through the wealth of knowledge and resources here at talkbass, and meeting all sorts of cool bass folks here as well!
