Newbie of all newbie's

Hello,
Brand new. Never played before, but always wanted to. I bought a couple of basses and amps from someone that really needed the cash bad. Mainly doing self-teaching, and reading all the threads I can, to get me going in the right direction.
Right now, I can make enough noise to scare the %&*# out of my wife and the cat.
