So d'Addario stopped making the stainless steel rounds (Prosteels) gauge I use (.110) in extra long scale... Been searching for a replacement, tried DR and Ken Smith(GHS) already. DR I didn't like at all, Ken Smith is "ok" but not as satisfactory as I had hoped in comparison to the Prosteels. Unfortunately La Bella also stopped making their equivalent.

I found two more brands that seem to do a .110 in extra long scale, and that's Newtone (UK) and Pyramid (Germany).

Have you ever used either and would you be able to compare them with D'addario Prosteels?

I am looking for bright strings ("grand piano sound" as d'Addario says about the Prosteels) with rather high tension. I use 45-65-85-110 gauges (to avoid floppiness when dropping the Low E to D). Hex core and extra/super long scale (38" winding). Other suggestions I might not know of (i.e. unmentioned above) are also welcome. :)

thanks!
