Next string suggestion for Yamaha TRBX605?

GHS Super Steels! Okay, I think I'm done for now. Not saying there's no possible better option out there, but this brings out the tone I would think I want from this bass, and, on this bass, sounds better to me than the stock D'Addarios and better than the Pressurewounds that I tried.

I have the ML 5-string set, 44/63/80/98/121. I might try the exposed-core B sometime, but no hurry.

The nut broke on my TRBX605. I took it into the shop to get fixed, and took this opportunity to try a set of Rotosound 66 steel strings. As usual, they feel a little coarser than the GHS steels (and also coarser than just about any other kind of bass string ever), but I think they sound very good on the TRBX. The accentuated midrange on the 66s seems to pair well with the Yamaha pickups, giving a good strong tone. I got a set with a 130 B string out of convenience, which is a little on the hefty side for my tastes, but still sounds good.

My TRBX505 will wear SIT Power Wound Nickels 40-100 with an exposed-core 125B. So, I want something a little different for the 504.

In my opinion, the GHS Super Steels were a good improvement over the stock D'Addarios... went from sounding "meh" to "good".

I think the Rotosound 66 were an improvement again, albeit a smaller difference, as the accentuated "higher mids" seemed to pair better with the Yamaha than the accentuated "lower mids" with the GHS strings.

I'm not sure what to expect of the DR Lo Riders. To me, those tend to sound fairly neutral, but clear. I tend to like DRs better than D'Addarios, but I would tend to pick Rotosound or GHS over either. But who knows! The DRs might make the Yamaha bass shine even better than the Rotosounds.
