NFL 2019 Week #3

Brady was sixth round. Bart Starr was 17th round. Minshew and Falk were both sixth round.

Yes, there have been a lot of 1st and 2nd round QB successes.

But I have considerable hopes for both of those Cougs.

Yes, there have been a few late round surprises. But VERY few. There have been many more first round disappointments. In other words, don't hold your breath.

Interesting how it happened shortly after Belichick cut short his weekly press conference after the barrage of Antonio Brown questions after he told everyone he wouldn't talk about it.
I wonder if he left the podium, walked straight to Kraft's office and told him to get the guy off the team, now. :D

What I don't get though is when someone being interviewed stands up in front of everyone and makes a comment how they are not going to talk about subject ABC, then people keep asking about ABC anyway.
I can understand Belichick being frustrated enough just to walk away from the podium.

Apparently, the final straw was that those texts to the second accuser happened while he was with New England. Assuming those texts exist (and I am guessing they do. Her attorney met with the NFL). To quote Ron White, "you can't fix stupid". Brown can join Manziel (as should Josh Gordon) as people whose own behavior is the only thing that blew their futures. I hope this next I hear about Brown is him declaring bankruptcy AFTER the victims get paid.

Cards so close to a victory over the Cam-less Panthers. Or so I thought until Carolina broke it open in the second half. Kyler Murray might have the tools to be a great NFL QB but until somebody on the O-line can block just a little bit, we'll never know. Same could be said for Baker Mayfield's performance against the Rams...had opportunities but once he starts scrambling the percentage of completions goes WAY down.

Jalen Ramsey demands a trade, doesn't get the Antonio Brown treatment he was obviously hoping for from the Jaguars, so he calls in sick today.
Is it too late to put him on the bus Antonio Brown road out of town on?

Can the Bears play the Redskins every week?

The Bears have a good defense, with some folks questioning the offense. Mitchell Trubisky is putting on a show for the doubters.
I was listening the other day to a national sports radio show. They were talking about how Trubisky threw a total of three or four passes in the preseason, and how that can actually be detrimental to a QB. The talking heads reasoned that is why Trubisky looked so poor the first couple games. He was working out the rust.
We'll see.
I'm not a Bears fan, but I like the kicker, and anytime they have a good defense it takes me back to one of my favorite times as an NFL fan, the '85 Bears.
