NFL Week 19

Hehe....the Pat's fans sure are cheering for the Chargers to win on Sunday. I'm guessing more than a few of them are afraid of Peyton, Joseph, and Bob.

-Mike

Well, we beat both of them this year, so I guess I'm not too worried about either team. (yeah the Colts game was close and the SD game wasn't, but I think the Chargers are playing better football now, so both teams would/will be a formidable opponent).

I'd rather play SD simply because I can't stand the Colts and watching Peyton play football is nowhere near as fun as watching him star in every commercial. I guess he could do both, though. :D

Well, the Colts have proven they can play pretty good in bad weather. Does SB XLI ring a bell? :smug:

Sure does sound that way, huh? :D I think a Pats vs Colts AFCCG will settle who is the best team this year.

Go COLTS!!!

Not I! I want to see the Pats go through the champs to win it all. Plus Freeney is gone so that's a PIA off of Brady's back.

let's see ... NE 16-0 & Colts 13-3 in the 2007 regular season ... and let's not forget that NE won over the Colts in their regular season game ... yet you're still fumbling to understand who is the better team this year?

maybe you just need a bigger shirt :D

I'm not sold on the Chargers. With Gates not even playing today, it doesn't look good for them. They have one weapon on offense now, poor LaDainian.

It's better that the Patriots play the Colts for the AFCCG. When the Steelers won it all in 2005, they played higher seeded teams than them on the road every week and beat them all. No one could say we played lesser teams or got lucky because some other team lost before we could play them.

Should Indy lose today, and then NE go on to win the SB, all the Colt fans will be saying how lucky the Pats were that they didn't have to play the Colts in the AFCCG.

Man, what a great win by the Pack!! McCarthy coached a great game, not panicking when we were down 14-0, and not pulling Grant and sticking with him. The defense spearheaded by Atari Bigby was making huge hits, but my gameball goes to the O-line who gave Favre good protection and allowed Grant the run blocking he needed.

We had a gig last night and both our band and the crowd was definitely in great moods with the win!

first you say this

then you say this

That 16-0 season means jack squat without the SB. Who wins the SB is the best team.

so which is it? I think you've confused yourself :D

according to Kelly, if SD beats the Colts today, SD is definitely the better team. Period. Logic would then leave no room for anyone to say that the Pats went to the SB because they were spared playing a better team because Indy lost

all the best,

That means we're damned if we do, damned if we don't. The best team will win between SD and Indy. So whoever we face next week will be the best team. If by chance the Colts lose today they're no longer the champs. That's how the post season works!

Ooooooh 56 yard TD play by SD!

looks like SD is playing against two teams today - Indy and the refs (who keep calling penalties where they don't exist)

:rollno:

kinda reminds me of 'certain' post season Steelers game a year or so back where the guys in green played the guys in yellow and the guys in black/white ;)

Yep, the Colts lose. :(

The loss of Freeney, Booger, and Morris really showed today. I'm not blaming injuries for the loss just that I could tell the difference when it counted most. Oh well. SD played hard and made the plays they had to where as the Colts didn't. I think NE will have their hands full with SD but will probably win it but you never know! To SD fans, congrats and good luck next weekend!

As for who I'm hoping will win it now is the Pack. It would be cool to see the "old man", Favre, get one more before retirement. Don't really think it will happen this year considering the strength of teams left but it could happen. :)

Were you guys playing in green bay on dec 8th?

Personally, I think the Pack matches up well with all of the teams that are left (admittedly, I am biased). With the exception of a couple of games where they just didn't show up, the Packers have actually been a pretty dominant team this year. With their hard hitting, "bend but don't break" defense, Grant running, Farve throwing, and their plethora of receivers, I think they have an excellent chance of beating anyone in the big game.

Of course, everyone still has at least (NY- DAL) one more game to play to get to the big dance, and anything can happen on any given day. After all, that's why they play the games.

Wouldn't it be cool to see the Pats and Pack go at it again?

A 96 Superbowl rematch would be nice. That prick Will McDonough isn't in the shadows this time to leak the story that the Tuna will leave to coach the Jets next season. I think that screwed up the Pats Psyche.
