Been a tough year so far for me, too .... 31-31 .... too many teams letting me down this year .... :help:

Jacksonville @ Buffalo - Jags

Denver @ Baltimore - Ravens have been quite a surprise for me, sticking with 'em this week

Atlanta @ Cleveland - Falcons, easily ....

Kansas City @ Indianapolis - Colts are one of the teams that I can't figure out. Despite the 3-0 for KC, IND by a TD at least

Tampa Bay @ Cincinnati - Bengals

Green Bay @ Washington - I need the Pack to win so I can put another big "L" in the Skins column

St. Louis @ Detroit - Lions, it's their week

Chicago @ Carolina - In spite of the pounding the Giants put on them, the Bears have some good chances if the O line shows up

NY Giants @ Houston - Giants, decisively

New Orleans @ Arizona - The Saints have been another big disappointment for me, they haven't shown any life this year and while the wounded list is tough, they need to wake up and start playing NO football. I don't think the dream sequence is over yet, though ..... Cards in a close call ....

Tennessee @ Dallas - The Boys are another team letting me down .... I expected a much stronger effort, but I guess this isn't their year (again!!) .... Titans

San Diego @ Oakland - Chargers

Philadelphia @ San Francisco - Time for the 49ers to wake up, time for the Eagles to roll over and start to rot

Minnesota @ NY Jets - Jets might be yapping too much, but so far they are backing it up, and I'd love to see Favre (Farve??) go out this season as a loser ....

I wouldn't be so quick to call the Giants over the Texans, especially with Foster playing the whole game and Cushing back in the lineup this weekend. Andre Johnson is day to day after Thursday, so we might have a pretty heavy field.

Anyone still think Chris Johnson is going to get his 2500 yards this year? He's tearing it up....354 yards in four games.

NFL.com is reporting that the Bills have just traded Lynch to the Seahawks.

If anybody will do it, he will. Smallish guy that runs with some power and avoids the big hits. That oughtta keep him from getting too banged up to run hard all season

I'm a NY guy and a lifelong Giants fan .... whaddya expect :D

Houston does look good, though ... saw the Indy and Skins games, (didn't see the last two) ... The Giants are due for their annual 3-game-beat-everybody-up run, based on last week this might be the time .... :cool:

No but seriously I'm worried for you. Please explain yourself.

EDIT: Read all your posts, sort of make sense, especially cause your a Giants fan. I feel if the Giants were a little more disciplined (which in a year or so they should be), and they had one more playmaker, they could be a superbowl contender.

You know if anyone would have said last week that the Saints-Carolina game, in the Superdome, would have a final score of 16-14 decided by basically a last minute field goal, I doubt many people would have believed you.

The Saints are looking pretty pathetic this year to this point, injuries or not. Their run game is non-existent, (30th in the league) and their run defense isn't much better (26th). Close games to teams who are nowhere near the level of the Saints, in theory anyways, and I really don't have much confidence in them. They keep finding a way to win though, which is what winners and champs do, but man they're looking ugly.

But theyre playing the Cards, I'd pick the Bears against the Cards.

I was just as surprised he thought the Texans would be beaten decisively I'm not saying I guarantee a Texans victory, but I can almost say definitively that they won't be blown out.

Rams over Lions (though I hope I'm wrong)
Indy over KC (welcome to 3-1)
Pack over Skins
DA BEARS over the Painters (unless Cutler throws for -13 yards again)
BAL over Denver
Giants over Texans (okay...I bought NYG D-Line big time)
NOLA over AZ (Cards are terrible)
Tenn over Dal
San Diego over Oakland (and the streak continues)
Iggles over Niners (even with Kolb)
Jets over Vikes (get Favre a crutch)

While Reggie Bush did not post MVP stats, he added an element to the game that is now missing. With Pierre Thomas nursing an injury, the Saints offense really isn't all that lethal so far this season. Maybe a couple of the WR's had career years last year, and have fallen back to earth? It was a special season in NOLA last year with how that offense clicked, and it is very difficult to keep all those guys firing on all cylinders for another year.

But I'm still going to give some credit to the opposing DC for having his guys ready each week. That can't be overlooked if you ask me, which no one did, so I'll shut up.

True story. Look at the Pats, one year you're posting record breaking numbers and then things happen; injuries, losing players to free agency, losing staff to other teams, more injuries.. then sometimes it's something more unexplainable like the Superbowl Hangover, or being on the cover of Madden. Either way a couple years down the road and all of sudden you realize "wait a minute.. what happened? we were the best!?" In the league in this day and age nobody stays top for long.

I'm excited to see how Brian Cushing will play now that he's back with the Texans. Will he be able to repeat his Rookie of the Year performance immediately, or will it take a while? Or were the steroids his main reason for success? We'll see.

I pick the Texans over the Giants, 27 to 20. The Texans have a much better O-Line than Chicago, and Eli is still slightly struggling.

Other picks


Jacksonville over Buffalo. Jax isn't suddenly a contender now, but Buffalo is not exactly a contender themselves.

Baltimore over Denver. Denver's lack of running game will kill them.

Indianapolis over Kansas City. The last unbeaten no more.

Washington over Green Bay. I've always been a big McNabb fan, and his offense is starting to click.

Rams over Detroit. Sam Bradford on his way for the Rookie of the Year nod.

Chicago over Carolina. Jimmy Clausen looked great last week, but his team has too many deficiencies right now.

Cincinatti over Tampa Bay. TB has the ability to be great...in a few years. Their young team needs more growing up.

Atlanta over Cleveland. Meet your NFC wild card team.

New Orleans over Arizona. NO is not looking as sharp as they were last year, but Arizona is not looking too great this year.

Dallas over Tennessee. Unless Chris Johnson goes crazy, I think Dallas will sneak by with a win. Barely.

San Diego over Oakland. SD is not looking all that great, but Oakland is...well, Oakland.

San Francisco over Philadelphia. SF much better than their winless record indicates. It ends this week.

Minnesota over Jets. The battle of the overrated teams! However, that extra week of preparation helps the Vikings to a win.

My money is on this making no net difference for the Vikes. Especially Monday against the Jets, a team that will be gunning to smack FAR-VUH around (you don't think they've forgotten about what he pulled on them so he could go to MN?).

This ain't the BCS, no points for style, just the W-L record counts. Say whatever you wish, they've been playing their "C" game all season, and are one missed 29 yard field goal from a 4-0 record.

Their "A" game is in there, just waiting to pay some poor team a visit...maybe it's the Cards...maybe they're savin' it for the Yucs...you never know, but eventually, they'll nuke SOMEONE this year...

If they were playing their "C" game against opponents will good records and still winning it'd be one thing. As of right now they've beat 2 teams that have yet to win a game. When they went against a team on par with them they lost. Beating a hapless San Francisco and equally lulz worthy Carolina by 3 and 2 points, with the latter being in their own house has to be grounds for eyebrow raises.
