Sheesh...Chargers give up 9 points on special teams and an offensive fumble gives up another 7. They've been downright dominant on offense (506 total yards today), but have too many crucial turnovers (two RZ fumbles and one on the Oakland 33 while trailing by 1). Detroit might be the best 1-4 team, but I'm certain the Chargers are the best 2-3 team.

Colts win ugly. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.
Defense seemed to tighten up a bit which is promising. The secondary is a trauma ward right now. Run defense was better and really bottled up Charles, who is dangerously fast.
Oline didn't put their helmets on backwards today. Run blocking was better at times, but they made old mistakes at others. Tamba Hali ate Ryan Diem's lunch though. They really should have considered chipping him more often. He was is Manning's grill all day.
Miscues: I really don't think the receivers can be blamed for all the drops and miscues. Manning was pretty off target and wasn't his usual self today. Garcon had some miscues, but he hadn't practiced in about 3 weeks.
Give credit to the Chiefs, especially DC Romeo Crennel. It was a great game plan that had his team in it for 56 minutes. There are a lot of young, future big talent guys on that team. Especially on D. Flowers was doing a damn good job disrupting passes to his side of the field. If Bowe catches that sure TD it makes this a very different game.

Its one of those things where everyone but one person can see that they are a shell of the team from last year. 17 wins (counting postseason) with 11 of those being double digit wins. This year they aren't getting defensive turnovers at the same rate and the offense has much less fire power.

Man. Dallas, Green Bay, Cincinnati, and the Saints killed my for-entertainment-purposes-only pool
Pack is in tough shape. Really hit hard by injuries. I knew in the first quarter when they couldn't convert 4th and 1 from the goal line that we would lose.
Starters out in the following positions:
- starting safety (down to 3rd string)
- starting corner
- 3 starting linebackers out
- 1 starting defensive end
- starting right tackle
- 2 starting tight ends both out
- starting running back
- quarterback (Rodgers likely out this week with a concussion, we'll see)
Not making excuses, just sayin.

Ditto for the Beloved Bears -- but this game was over in the first quarter. If Cutler had been healthy however, this one would have been a slaughter.
That said, we need a quality backup QB in the worst way (especially the way our O-line is known to stink up the joint.) OTOH, it was good to see a commitment to the run and to see it be productive. I remain convinced that Matt Fourte was hurting more than anyone really knew last year.

I concede that the Saints looked like DOOKY yesterday in all three phases.
Kicking game is in shambles, the guy we got to replace the guy with the yips got the yips and cost us at least overtime.
Still, playing poorly, they're one game out of 2nd place, and tied for the 2nd best record in the NFC. I'll take that, because they're likely to start playing SAINTS football any game (they're also potentially likely to NOT do so...
).Good game by the Cards taking advantage of the sleepwalking Saints, and congrats on having the ball bounce their way all day - 4 fumbles, and they recovered all 4 of them.
Luck is created, and they did so.
Give yourselves some credit, man. Y'all played a good game against a dominant team.
Tell me about it, baby! First win against Daygo in 7 years. This one ended the way last year's game should have. I'm stoked. So is my dad, who is a long-suffering cards fan. I came in to work like this today

Thanks man...they've been few and far between lately, especially in-division.
I have no clue what's going on in Nawleans, but y'all gonna have to figure something out. I got a feeling the Saints will get it together and still be a contender, though.
I gotta good feeling about the next couple years in Oakland.
As for the Saints...that was a VERY frustrating game to watch.
Drew is just "off", not sure if it's physical or psychological, but he is not the guy he was last year - the zip isn't on the ball when it comes out, and his accuracy is not quite what it has been. Add that to the receivers dropping passes that ARE there, and well...
...and talk about bad luck (and I consider "luck" to be a product of preparedness + execution, something the Saints don't seem to have this year so far...), the Cards put the ball on the ground 4 times and recovered their own fumbles each time. ARRRRRRGGGGHHHH. Gotta get that fumble man!!! That is probably the biggest single difference this year, the defense is still CAUSING the fumbles, but they're not GETTING them; then the offense is not taking care of the ball as well.All that, plus several key players either inactive to start, or injured, and well....3-2....rather see 'em going through it now than later.
One GOOD thing that happened yesterday: the Cows LOST AGAIN!!!
So at least my 2nd favorite team won (i.e. whoever is playing the Cows).....
