NFL Week #6

As Atoz pointed out, if the Saints had gone with Melhoff instead of Erratica, they'd be 5-1 easy, and in sole control of first place in the NFC South.

They are now ONE game out of first place in their division, they have both games left against both Carolina (in Charlotte next week), and both against the Turkeys (who will start to fall apart, just watch), and they've already taken one from the Yucks.

I already said it more than one time, and I'll say it yet again:

The New Orleans Saints will win the NFC South.

...like Mike says about his Steelers, we don't mind a bit if you all want to count our guys out, it's a long season, and it isn't even half way over.

Oh, and my second favorite team won today...this week, that was the Arizona Cardinals!

The only thing that makes me ALMOST as happy as a Saints beat-down of an opponent is seeing the Cowgirls get beat.

jazzbo, yeah, I think you might want to start worrying. They lost to a good team in the 'Skins, the very nearly lost to the Bengals, now they lost to the Cards. The Cards have a 4-2 record, but c'mon, they're in the NFC West!

That game wasn't even as close as the score indicated, the Cards BEAT the Cowboys.

Crap, the Redskins gave it away today! Too many sacks, too many fumbles, too many greased-pig style non-tackles, too many Steven Jackson. And just when we had jazzbo and Gard convinced! Sheesh.

OK, do your worst. We deserve it today. :scowl:

Also, I thought for sure that the Redskins would beat the Rams. I was so wrong and the end of the Bears vs. Falcons game was just amazing!

Normally I'd be more than happy to lay into you, but I'm still upset at our game. Who da thunk it? the Cards beat us. :crying:

0 for 2 on my picks this week .... :rolleyes: The only one I got right was Pittsburgh vs the bye week ....

The Superbowl Champion New York Football Giants looked dazed and lost last night. The Browns b*tch-slapped the Giants all over the field, total domination on every front. NY took this game for granted all week (you could read in the papers that they thought this one was in the bag :rollno:) and ended up looking like a bunch of amateurs playing in the big leagues. Maybe the worst game I've seen from them in a while, even when they were losing early last year they didn't look this disgusting .....

Two things really bothered though (besides the obvious loss):

First, when Burress scored the TD to bring it to 17-14, there he was pounding his chest and showboating in the end zone .... HEY PLAXICO, HOW ABOUT SHUTTING THE "F" UP UNTIL YOUR TEAM IS ACTUALLY WINNING :spit: I'm really concerned about this big-mouthed b*stard, he's a toxic personality just like Shockey was last year.

And second, what the heck was going on with the offensive protection??? Even Ray Charles could see that the Browns were running that outside blitz on nearly every play and they did NOTHING to stop that ..... Manning was under pressure all night long, and coupling that pressure with a very crappy game on his part, you see the end result :atoz:

Just a terrible performance .... not so much the loss, 'cause any team can win or lose on any given week, but the horrible effort by the entire Giants team was a disgrace. They blew a great opportunity to go up by 2 in the NFC East, and after the Niners next week (who would love to punch the Giants in the b*lls), they have the Steelers, the Cowboys, and the Eagles ..... those last three are some serious teams and the Superbowl Champion New York Football Giants better get some big-time religion really quick or this season can go down the dumper fast .... :help:

Brutal loss, but give big props to the Browns .... they put it to the Giants and looked great while doing it .....

Yup. Plexiglass is like TO without the stats - a toxic pain in the ***. Good riddance.

But give credit to the Browns for last night. They played like they wanted it more, and the G men played like all they had to do was show up. Always a recipe for disaster.
