NGBD - New Glarry Bass Day!

If you live in NJ you can pick up one of these P-basses for $45 (or possibly even a few $$ less) at my home, as I'm selling it. (See classified listings here...) Not a thing wrong with it really, it plays fine; I'm just looking to get a smaller Mikro BG, so one I already have has to go to make room.

Here's my $56 Burning Fire after I painted the headstock, put a stripe on the body, block decals and a bridge cover. Very light. Under 7 lbs. I think they are styrofoam covered in a wood veneer!

Someday at a gig I might just smash it for the effect, lol.

I’ve always wanted to know about those stick on fret position markers… Are they any good?
Do they only look okay from a distance but up-close not that great?
Do they peel? Can you feel ‘em?!

All in all a great looking bass, though!
(I’m guessing the competition stripe is painted on or is that tape too?)

Lacquer it by all means and then when completely dry sand down lightly at the back with wire wool to get back that “dry” finish

Fret position markers look good up close too. No, they don't peel and you don't feel them as you play.
The competition stripe is also a decal. The key to the decals is to apply them carefully.

I'm actually giving mine to my keyboard players daughter as a birthday gift. She is a talented musician with not much $$$. She loves playing bass in her band and would love to have a Precision style bass. I have 3 other Precision bass guitars.

I think she'll love it.

I played one of those Mikro bass guitars last week. Sounded great, very playable and fun. Almost bought it.

I ordered a Hofner Ignition bass that's coming today from Sweetwater to scratch my short scale itch.
