Well, it's been a week today that I received my Glarry Burlywood Precision Bass and I have to say that I am a believer. I am simply amazed. Not a sharp fret on this baby. No flaws on the finish and the back of the neck is satin finish like I prefer them to be. The neck is straight as an arrow with no buzzing...quite playable out of the box. Width at nut is 1.67", 0.86" front to back C shape and 1.03" at 12th fret transition to D shape.

The pups were very quiet and I raised them up a bit and they did get louder, but they seem to be low output. No noise. The knobs were great with no static and firm to turn.

For an entry level bass this thing is simply amazing. It is also about 6.5 lbs. on my analog 'health-o-meter' bath scale. Very light, so this is also worth looking into for gigging musicians with some back issues who know how to do some minor mods.

It shipped from a New Jersey warehouse to my front door in two days via Fed-Ex. Really quick!

Well, it looks pretty good, that's for sure, and everyone knows about the attributes of burlywood!
Seriously though, nice grain pattern...I wonder if all the natural bodies are that light..that's .lighter than my L2000!

OMG, it is seriously light. I held it as I weighed myself and then I weighed myself again without it.
I can't give ounces because it's an analog scale, but definitely less than 7 pounds. I did this several times because I was like Wha……?????? and it really is that light.

Just got the same p-bass in burlywood. $61.83 shipped from NJ. (And China...) With shipping included, I dunno how the NJ outfit can make any $$ on it for that price? Mine doesn't say Glarry on the headstock; it was instead called a "Burning Fire" bass and the headstock is blank. (Hey, maybe a good place for my own name?) Anyway this bass is exactly the same as the Glarry burlywood one shown and described here, and so far plays OK and appears to be amazingly good quality for that price! (I'll change the strings to flatwounds next, and that sh make it even better!) It's also very lightweight, and that just makes yet another plus for this old bassist...

congratulations on your new instrument OP! (those things amaze me! --- per the threads/NBDs of yourself and others.)

So many American products are made in China as well as other countries goods. China is now having their products for their own consumers made in parts of africa as products made in China are generally getting too expensive for their own people.

the prices of these cheap, competent instruments are likely to go up...soon!
