LOL! Yeah, but the first thing I thought of was how much practice time he gave up to spend that time butchering his bass.Could be worse. Back in HS (circa 1979) I knew a guy who committed a similar abomination to his pre-CBS Jazz. He cut the headstock so it came to a point, and moved the "G" tuner to the other side so he had a 3+1. Then he cut a slice off the lower body offset. Asked why he did it, he said something along the lines of "because it's mine, and I can do what I want with it".

My 13 year old son would leave the Earth for committing such a crime against a bass. Especially since I would most likely be its sponsor......

I remember wanting to carve into the first bass my parents got me when I was 16. The fear of the ass whoopin my dad would've given me kept me from doing so.
